The Best Fragrance Notes for Each Season

Fragrance changes with the seasons just like fashion does. The perfume that feels perfect in December may feel too heavy in July. The fresh scent you love in summer may not feel warm enough in fall. Building a seasonal fragrance wardrobe can make your scent feel more intentional all year long.
For spring, I love fresh florals, soft citrus, green notes, and light musks. These scents feel clean, feminine, and bright without being overpowering. Spring fragrance should feel like opening the windows after a long winter.
For summer, reach for airy, fresh, and sparkling notes. Citrus, coconut, fig, white florals, sea salt, and clean musks all work beautifully. Summer scents should feel light and effortless, especially in the heat.
For fall, warmer notes start to feel right. Amber, sandalwood, suede, vanilla, spice, and soft woods create a cozy but elevated feeling. Fall fragrance is like adding a great jacket to your outfit — it gives everything more depth.
For winter, richer scents can be beautiful. Think deeper vanilla, oud, patchouli, rose, incense, amber, and smoky woods. These fragrances feel more luxurious and lasting, especially for evenings and special events.
The trick is not to completely change who you are each season. It is to find seasonal versions of what you already love. If you love florals, try a light floral in spring and a deeper rose in winter. If you love vanilla, choose a soft airy vanilla in summer and a richer amber vanilla in colder months.
Fragrance is one of the easiest ways to shift the mood of your look without changing your whole wardrobe.
