Just like your closet, your fragrance collection should work for your real life. You do not need dozens of perfumes. You need a few scents that fit different moods, seasons, and moments.
I like to think of fragrance as the finishing accessory. It is the invisible detail that makes you feel complete before you walk out the door.

An everyday fragrance should be easy to wear. It should feel clean, soft, and effortless — something that works for school drop-off, errands, work, lunch, or casual weekends. These are the scents that do not overpower a room but still make you feel polished.
Then there is the elevated daytime fragrance. This is what I would wear for meetings, appointments, brunch, or a day when I want to feel a little more put together. These scents might have notes of citrus, floral, musk, sandalwood, or amber, but they still feel refined and wearable.
For evenings, I like something warmer or more memorable. A date night, dinner party, or event fragrance can have more depth. Think vanilla, amber, woods, spice, or a richer floral. This is the scent that makes an outfit feel more complete.
I also love having a cozy fragrance for home. Something soft, warm, and comforting that feels beautiful after a shower, before bed, or during a slower day. These scents are less about making a statement and more about creating a mood.
The key is not to buy perfume randomly. Build a fragrance wardrobe the same way you build a clothing wardrobe: by knowing what role each one plays.
