Good makeup starts with good skincare. When your skin is hydrated, protected, and cared for, everything else looks better. You do not need a complicated routine full of products you barely use. You need a simple, consistent system.
For morning, I like to keep things focused: cleanse, treat, hydrate, and protect.
Start with a gentle cleanser or even just a rinse if your skin is dry or sensitive. The goal is to refresh the skin without stripping it. Then apply a treatment serum. Vitamin C is a popular morning option because it can help brighten the skin and support a more even-looking complexion.
Next comes moisturizer. Even if you have oily or combination skin, hydration matters. The right moisturizer helps keep your skin barrier healthy and gives your makeup a smoother base.
The most important morning step is sunscreen. Every single day. Sunscreen is the product that protects your skin from premature aging, discoloration, and sun damage. It is also the step that makes the rest of your skincare routine more worthwhile.
At night, the focus is cleansing, repairing, and nourishing. Remove makeup and sunscreen fully. Then use your treatment products, such as a retinol or gentle exfoliating product, depending on your skin’s tolerance. Finish with moisturizer to support your skin barrier overnight.
The best skincare routine is not the most expensive one. It is the one you can actually stick to.
Healthy, glowy skin comes from consistency, not chaos.
Simple Skincare Formula:
